Should I host Oempro on a shared hosting, VPS or fully dedicated server?
Oempro is designed to work on any type of hosting. However, you shouldn’t forget that there are some criterias you need to consider while choosing the correct hosting environment for your email marketing needs.
Email sending is a complicated process and if you are planning to send mass emails through your server, then you should plan your infrastructure carefully.
Basically, you can give a decision based on your mail list size, email sending frequency and estimated recipients amount.
If your list size is not above 500, not sending more than one per week, then you may consider hosting Oempro on a shared hosting. Because your email sending load will not be more than 500 emails per week. However, you shouldn’t forget that hosting companies apply strict limits on shared hostings such as limited number of email sending per hour or month. You must contact your hosting company to learn more about their sending rules and limits.
Also, you should also know that shared hosting is a real trouble for email marketing because your mail server IP address is shared with others, probably tens of other websites. If it gets black listed because of you or someone else on the same server, your email deliverability will decrease.
If your mail list size is above 500, then we strongly recommend you to go ahead with at least VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting. VPS servers are just like dedicated servers but they are virtually dedicated. This kind of servers will give great performance compared to shared hosting.
However, if your list is above 10,000 and you send a few times per week, then you should consider choosing a fully dedicated server
