The basic directory structure once you extract the template will be as shown in the below example. For this how-to we will use template_0001 found on octeth.com

Having the above directory structure - lets see what each directory contains inside the “0001″ directory.
HTML Directory
This directory will have the html file for the CMS based template and the related images inside the images directory.
PSD
This directory will have the PHOTOSHOP source for the particular template which you can edit in order make some changes this template and then you will need to slice the layout and export the same. This is in the case where you need to customize the template.
Thumbnails
This will hold the thumbnails of the particular template.
(2) Second Step:
Now that you have your template extracted we will see how to create a new CMS based template through the oemPro interface.
In order to create new templates please to go ”Campaigns > Newsletter Templates”. Now click on the “Create Template”.
Once you click on the create template link - you will be provided with two options - “Traditional Newsletter Template” and “CMS Based Newsletter Template”
Here we are going to create a CMS Based Template. So you will need to click on the CMS Based Newsletter Template link.
After this you will be given the screen to set some information related to the template.
You need to set the name of the template, description of the template, owner administrator, character set, priority, content type, embed images or do not embed images with the newsletter option. Once you set all these parameters - click on the proceed button available to you in the bottom of the page.
After doing that - you will be given the option to add your newsletter template’s subject and the Content Editor where you can add the newsletter settings. In this example we are going to upload the html file found in the HTML directory of the template we have.
So in order to upload the html file of the template - click on the Browse button and select the necessary file by going to the template’s directory structure.
Once you select the file - you will need to click on the Add button provided at the bottom of the page.
This will make the oemPro add the selected template to your CMS based newsletter template database.
(3) Third Step:
Now go to Campaigns > Newsletter Templates
You will see the list of templates available - each template has a seperate directory of its own. All the newsletter templates are saved under the system/data/newsletter_templates
The last template you created will have the directory name with the last number in the sequence.
Please FTP to your server - go to the directory system/data/newsletter_templates/ inside your oemPro directory and then go to the number which is the latest.
From the downloaded template files - you will need to upload the images folder to this directory for the template.
Upload all the necessary images and you are done with the CMS based template uploading.
