This article will guide you through the upgrade process.

IMPORTANT:
In order to upgrade, at least Oempro v3.3 must be installed on your server.

Before we begin

In this manual, it is assumed that your website URL is http://www.mydomain.com and Oempro is installed to the root of your website (http://www.mydomain.com/oempro). Do not forget to change this URL to the correct one on your server.

How To Upgrade From Previous Versions to Latest Version

Unzip latest Oempro ZIP file to a directory on your computer and upload all these files to the Oempro directory on your server (old files will be overwritten).

Then follow these easy steps to complete upgrade process:

  • Open your web browser and enter the below URL with the correct path on your server:
    http://www.mydomain.com/oempro/system/install/upgrade/
  • Upgrade screen will be displayed
  • Click on the “Proceed to step 2 of 3″ button
  • Once you are on the step 2, you will see the license agreement. Please read and check ‘I agree’ button.
  • Click on the “Proceed to step 3 of 3″ button
  • Once you click ont he step 3 button, you should see the quick overview of the system requirements - whether your existing directory permissions and the PHP installation pass these requirements or not. If everything is okay, you may click on the ‘Start Upgrade Process’ button.

That’s it! The Oempro upgrade script will do the needful to upgrade it to the latest version. Once done, it will pop up a screen telling whether the upgrade process was completed correctly or not.

IMPORTANT:
Please ignore “oempro/system/data/templates/” directory while uploading if you have any customized the existing templates. If you fail to do that the customized templates will be replaced by the default templates which are included with Oempro.

Does this mean that the oemPro folder with 3.6.4 in it, has ALL the files I will need to run oemPro? I don’t want to delete all the old files and find out that something is missing…

    Hi James,

Yes, once you download Oempro latest version, you will have all files in it you need to run Oempro.

Just backup your Oempro directory and database on your server then upload new Oempro files to your server as described above.

    Take care.
